This cast-iron sign was common and level crossings and pedestrian crossings of the railway line particularly in the steam-era.
The part is etched nickel silver, unpainted.  Solder or glue to a length of code 40 or 55 rail (not supplied) before painting to complete the sign.  Two signs are provided in each packet.
